A diminutive painted satinwood ladies "Bonheur du jour", having floral and garland decoration, and panels of children playing. The full size drawer opening to reveal a writing compartment and hidden side drawer for ink bottle and pens. Four paint decorated legs taper downwards and are joined by a painted decorative shaped stretcher. English, circa 1870-1880.
